The dance party had already begun in the living room, was a definite tell tale sign of what was to come later on... ;)

Then headed literally around the corner to where Jen and the girls were getting ready (love it when we are able to get prep shots of the bride and groom!)

We headed over to the waterfront in Weehawkin for the remainder of their portraits and thankfully caught a much needed breeze

Their reception was held at The Chart House in Weehawkin, love the view of NYC!

Jenna and Dave are a one of a kind super cool and down to Earth couple. Lynda and I got together with them in Hoboken for their engagement photos and we had a blast together. Dave is a big time collector of film cameras and has a common love for photography, so naturally we did our best to incorporate that into their session.

This is a very special blog post for me :) Susan and Justin (a.k.a. Ava's Mommy & Daddy) are friends of mine from college who I adore! They were married back in 2007, we were there with them on that amazing day. Now they have the most gorgeous little girl who they wanted photos of to celebrate a very important time, her 1st Birthday! Susan, Justin and Ava spending the afternoon with you was refreshing and fun. You have a beautiful happy little girl...and your pretty cool parents too!

Michelle & Dave are very dear to me. When we met they were engaged and expecting a baby, so we first got together for photos when their little girl Kayla was a newborn. I photographed their angelic baby girl in their home and fell in love more with them as a couple and a family.

Michelle & Dave are best friends. Their wedding day was a true celebration of two people who were made for each other. They had all of the love and support from their families and friends surrounding them which added to the already beautiful and very emotional day.

I cannot thank you both enough for giving Barb and I so much time for the portraits of the two of you alone!

Kelly Lynn + Matt = A Bahamas Wedding!

Kelly Lynn & Matt (a.k.a. Ninja), I am not even sure where to begin!! I think it was love-at-first-meet when Kelly Lynn and her sister Karen (best Maid of honor ever!!) came in to discuss plans for a destination wedding in Nassau Bahamas. Barb and I immediately booked our flight and hotel and were ready for an amazing wedding comprised of sandy white beaches, beautiful crystal clear waters, sun and palm trees....and a little extra fun we had no idea we were in store for!

From the moment we met up at the hotel we were made to feel like part of the family, thank you guys for that! We were invited to go snorkeling (Stuart's Cove Snorkeling...they do an amazing job!) Barb was totally more daring than I and went swimming with the sharks on our last stop before heading back to shore...ummm...one of us had to survive to shoot the wedding ;)

The rehearsal was followed by a sunset dinner cruise, delicious food and coconut drinks...yum!

When Brie emailed me to see if we were #1 available for her wedding date and #2 if we would travel to Martha's Vineyard for the weekend of celebrations the answers were yes and HECK YES!!! Martha's Vineyard is one of my top 5 places to visit, if you've ever been there you understand why, if you've never been GET YOUR BUTT THERE!! (You'll love it I promise)

Barb Wentzel (Super B as we like to call her....a.k.a kick ass second photographer/friend) and myself packed up the car and hit the road, then the ferry, then the Island for the weekend.

Thank you Brie & Colin for making us feel at home and most importantly for trusting us with your amazing wedding memories!

They had a beach BBQ for their rehearsal dinner :)

Prior to the wedding ceremony we traveled to Menemsha for some photos in and around the lobster boats. FYI...a little pointer if you do travel here, it's one of the best places to view the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean, pack some dinner and a bottle of wine and soak in those last few rays of sun!

Ceremony was held at St. Elizabeth's Church in Edgartown....awesome little town filled with beautiful homes and neat restaurants :)

After the ceremony we took a ride over to the Edgartown Lighthouse which was a super sentimental location for Brie & Colin, this is where he proposed!!

Brie's parents built a house in Vineyard Haven which is where the reception took place. Not one detail was looked over making this celebration a true Martha's Vineyard style wedding...they even had a Clam Bake Menu (delish!)

Even Burt Reynolds was ready for his Lobster :)

Evelyn & Rich, I am not even sure where to begin! You are both so chill, laid back, fun and completely trusting with anything that we asked you guys to do. Thank you for that! There have been an incredible amount of memories that we have shared and experienced in the time we have known each other. Between your Hoboken Engagement Session, Houlihans for wings & beers, coffee & munchkins and our conversations that could go on for hours, I cherish the two of you with all my heart and consider you both my friends, as I know John also did :) I wanted to include him in this post because I know how much he loved you both!

I am honored to have been part of such an amazing time in your lives and look forward to creating more memories with you guys. We are still totally going to catch a Bon Jovi concert one of these days, promise!!

When Pete came to see me, he shared that he was crafting a very romantic evening in New York City with his beautiful girlfriend Danielle. He went further to explain that he was planning on asking her to marry him while taking a ride on the Roosevelt Island Tram Car and he wanted to see if I was available to photograph this momentous event. Hmmmm...it was a no brainer, I wouldn't miss this opportunity for the world! Pete and Danielle, thank you from the bottom of my heart for having myself and my trusted assistant/nephew Charlie along with you as you began your new life together.
